I’d like to report that the recording of Furthur at Radio City has just broken the download record on my site with “4” downloads. Thanks guys! We’ve officially hit the bigtime! (:

I figured it was time I posted some Panic for ya’all. This show from New Years 1998 is about as good as it gets. If you have never truly given Panic a listen, this is the perfect place to begin. To start, its an FM soundboard, so that helps…. But this is just a top notch setlist performed masterfully. Each player brings something strong to the table. Schools holds it all down, John Bell’s vocals are in perfect form, JoJo is a madman on his Hammond all night, and Mikey Houser is just a machine.
Each song is pretty much a masterpiece, and I say that without question. It is difficult for me to pick out highlights because time should be spent with each tune, but I guarantee that if you start at the beginning and play it loud, you will be thoroughly impressed. This gets pretty dark and kind of dirty, and it just never lets up. The ballads, Im not Alone, Jack are filled with heart wrenching soul. Genesis, the Hot Tuna song, is a true highlight, it gets pretty dirty there for a bit and is just a beautiful version of a great song. Wondering, normally 3 minutes is stretched out and perfected. Diner reaches 18 minutes and is followed by a killer Rebirtha. But perhaps the strongest highlight is the cover of the Talking Heads City of Dreams. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with any track in this show. Give it a good listen. Rock out in your car. And let me know what you think!
